Dear AYSO friends,

            We are sorry to announce that our AYSO Region 1020 Fall 2020 Core program is cancelled. Over the last few weeks, the AYSO board has studied the COVID-19 Pandemic closely. We have discussed it at length and consulted medical professionals who are currently on the frontlines of this pandemic in our area.  After much consideration the board unanimously agreed that it would be unsafe to resume our soccer program at this time.

            For those of you who have already registered, the local board has agreed to issue refunds for the regional fee. However, the National Organization is not currently offering national fee refunds. The national fee amounts to $20 per player. This means that if you have already paid the registration fee, you will receive a full refund for the regional fee but will not receive the part of the fee ($20 per player) that has already been paid to AYSO’s National Office.

            If you have registered a player and paid the registration fee however, this means that your player is insured with AYSO for a full year. As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation at national, state, and local levels, we are hopeful that we can organize events such as games, travel teams, clinics, and camps later into the season and do so in a safe fashion. As your local board, we are committed to your children’s safety and will continue to meet in order to find solutions.
